...online Corgi Sprint The Corgi Sprint is a Tilt in Space wheelchair with a supportive seat design and suspension that takes the shocks out of travelling in the urban terrain. The Seat Unit also fits onto the Corgi megatilt and Mustang Powerchairs and the indoor Hi-Lo base, to give an ‘All Day’ solution using the same successful seating unit. Click in the pictures to see more As well as pink you can have:  Red,Blue,Green,Yellow,Lilac,Silver  Black Colour Choice Features SUSPENSION - The Corgi Sprint wheelbase has independant suspension for each rear wheel.  This gives the effect of a flexible chassis which is able to twist and bend to accomodate the uneven ground - either in the country or around town.  This gives a comfortable ride to the user, but also makes it more comfortable to push - a benefit for the carers too ADJUSTABLE HANDLE - The Corgi Sprint seat unit has a height adjustable handle  that is easily adjusted using the lever lock mechanism.  This enables you to adjust the handle height with one hand - instead of needing three hands to push buttons and move the handle all at once! PROFILED SEAT CUSHIONS - The seat unit can be set up with an Ischial Well which suits users that thrust forwards in their seat.  This arrangement gives a very secure position for the Ischial Tuberosities, and evenly spreads the weight along the femurs. OR... It can be set up with an 15 degree ramp which follows the conventional seating layout, working in conjunction with a sacral pad and knee supports to align the hips and achieve a correct anterior tilt of the pelvis. This gives the correct position for the spine to support the upper trunk CHOICE OF HIP GUIDE SIZES- The Corgi Sprint seat unit has hip guides that can be removed to assist with side transfers into the seat.  There is also a choice of vertical stem to give a further range of adjustment to the seat width. LATERAL SUPPORTS- The Corgi Sprint can have swingaway lateral supports fitted, in a choice of two sizes.  These mount onto the backrest plates, giving height and width adjustment.  Further range of width adjustment is available with a choice of bracket HEADRESTS - The Corgi Headrests are mounted on a slide bar for lateral positioning, with endless adjustment with our multi-angle headrest stem KNEEBLOCKS - Our modular kneeblocks allow for adjustment for angle and abduction width, as well as catering for leg length variation where femur length has a discrepancy due to surgery FOOTPLATES - We have a choice of footplates to suit various needs.  The single piece footplates work well for users who have strong leg movements, while the swingaway footrests help with self transfers.
